Tapes takes the indie blueprint and throws in some clean cut boy band sounds, with a dash of subtle funked up guitar and some chilled out synths.
Taking influences from the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Tapes has a definite theme running throughout. What can only be described as indie with a pushed up tempo, I find it actually works very well, as it sits comfortably within my playlist. Tapes can be positively defined as radio friendly , with its easy to listen to approach.
We particularly love the interesting remixes thrown in at the end, I was pleasantly surprised and these are the highlights for me. Adding two chilled out dance versions of opening track Tapes.
I will be interested to see what these guys can add in further releases.
