Food fanatics rejoice, last year’s gastronomic smash hit, The Feast Collective, is back at Camp Bestival once again, with myriad morsels of utterly piquant pleasure from some of the country’s finest eateries, helping us to create what we think is the ultimate taste-fest. Food has always been a leading light in the Camp Bestival line-up and with this year’s selection of artisan food producers, speciality chefs and street food gurus, plus a pop-up supper club and glorious food demonstrations, it will be an unmissable attraction for all your indulgent culinary needs.

This year’s Feast Collective Ambassadors, encouraging everyone to get stuck in to the wild flavours and innovative foods, include the man behind Ceviche, chef, restaurateur, Sunday Times Cookbook of the Year author and music producer Martin Morales who said: “Everyone can start small, and organic growth is the best way forward for a new food or drinks idea. That way can you experiment, gain fans and feel success in short but beautiful bursts. The Feast Collective aims to do just that, and I am very proud to be able to help and support them. By giving the opportunity to a carefully chosen group of food & drinks rising stars, everyone can enjoy this special moment created by independent, passionate, visionary and dynamic chefs and drinks people who are just starting out”.

Plus we will have author of the River Cottage Curing and Smoking Handbook, Steven Lamb who commented: “I am delighted to be invited to attend Camp Bestival this year – in its own right that would be enough. River Cottage and Camp Bestival have been buddies for some time and it is always a pleasure to immerse oneself in that special atmosphere and location. It just so happens that this year I am also going to be playing an ambassadorial role. I will be amongst the elite squad of the Feast Collective chatting, filming and enjoying their extraordinary culinary talent. Rob, Josie and their team have always sought out the best for its festival audience and this year they have a brilliant line-up both in terms of performers and suppliers. Everyone knows that River Cottage champions all that is good about food and it is a pleasure to be amongst some of the best of the bunch with the Feast Collective. As ever I will be with my young family because there is no better festival to take them to where they will enjoy the best of the best. I hope, in my ambassadorial role this year to support and point the spotlight on some great emerging food talent and that by association, some of the cool and creativity will rub off and that my kids will see me in a whole new light!

And our children’s food ambassador, BBC Cook of the Year, Jo Ingleby who said: “Food is the best way to bring families and friends together and this year’s Camp Bestival promises to be full of exciting eating experiences for everyone. Camp Bestival are bringing together wonderful food experiences that will keep the whole family well fed, inspired and amazed! There will be delicious produce from carefully selected producers as well as demonstrations, tastings, and special events which the children will be able to get involved with just as much as the adults!

Taking charge is huge Camp Bestival fave, Christian Stevenson, AKA DJ BBQ who will be hosting the collective this year. A Jamie Oliver FoodTube presenters and a cracking DJ to boot, Christian will be on hand to give you the Feast Collective low down, and to serenade your supper, too.

With a gargantuan array of mouth-watering treats on offer, prepare to get involved in taste experiences with Biblos, where the Middle East meets the Caribbean, multi-award-winning family concern The Cake Shop Bakery, artisan beverage makers Caravan Coffee, and winners of Best Sandwich at the British Street Food Awards 2014,The Cauldron. We’ll also have East Asian meets British cuisine from West Dorset’s Dorshi, sushi rolled fresh to order from Happy Maki, wine tasting with the wildly popular Knackered Mother’s Wine Club, and authentic Korean BBQ in Burritos, rice bowls and salad boxes from Korrito.

The temptations keep on coming with Alpine street food, inspired by a childhood near Mont Blanc from Le Rac Shack, we’ll also have food for thought with Melrose and Morgan who will be bringing their food quiz to the fields, bohemian, seasonally distinctive dishes from Cardiff’s Milgi, and beautiful, fruity, delicious and nutritionally balanced juices from S’Juice Me. And there will be innovative world food dishes using locally sourced fish and seafood from Seadog, seafood evangelism from Shrimpy, divinely delicious meat specialists the Thoroughly Wild Meat Company, and widely acclaimed modern interpretations of classic Ghanaian flavours from Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen.

Plus we’ll have superlative supper club gratification hosted by Cuisine+Colour and cooking demonstrations from ambassadors Martin Morales, Steven Lamb, Jo Ingleby and also from the Food & Farming Awards Best Street Food offering Hangfire Smokehouse and foraging wonder Nick Weston of Hunter Gather Cook.
